Stephen Revell - Chairman
Stephen Revell joined the Board with effect from 7th May 2019. He bought his house in Lorton through Mitchells in 1996 and now has nearly 600 acres in the Vale of Lorton, again mostly bought through Mitchells. He is also an active customer of the Fine Art auctions (and VeeVa!). Stephen has spent over 40 years as an international corporate lawyer for a leading London based law firm.

Andrew Nicholson
Andrew Nicholson, appointed as a non-executive director in 2008, farms in the Lorton Valley with his wife Karen, running around 100 Continental Cross suckler cows and around 1,000 breeding ewes, both Swaledale Mule and Continentals. Andrew has a keen interest in breeding Mule lambs. He has also been very successful in the Show Ring with his store cattle, selling heifers at up to £4,000.

Kenneth Williamson
Ken qualified in veterinary medicine and surgery in 1982 and is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He worked in a practice just over the border for 28 years. He then relocated to Lorton in 2010 and has since worked as a locum for the Millcroft Practice. Over the years he has become more and more involved within the farming sector and is able to provide valuable advice to the board on animal welfare.

Stuart Woodall
Stuart works as a local architect and worked with Mitchell’s on their relocation to the Livestock Centre. He has continued to provide Architectural Support to Mitchell’s farming clients and is well known in the delivery of projects across Cumbria and the Lake District National Park. Alongside his work he is also a Trustee of The Lakeland Housing Trust and Bendrigg.

Mark Wise BA (Hons) FRICS ASFAV
Executive Director with responsibility for Mitchells Antiques & Fine Art Sales, Household Auctions, Sporting Sales and VeeVa! Coffee Shop. Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Fine Art and Chattels) FRICS and an Associate of The Society of Fine Art Auctioneers ASFAV. Since joining Mitchells in 1989 he has substantially developed Mitchells Antiques & Fine Arts business and established its reputation as one the country's leading provincial salerooms.

Alison Allison - Company Secretary
Alison was appointed as Company Secretary at the beginning of 2025. She has worked at Mitchell's since 2012. In that time Alison has completed an MBA, gained valuable experience and taken on more responsibility across the whole company. Alison grew up on her family beef farm in Yorkshire and now helps her husband on his dairy farm.
