An Edwardian inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase, in two sections the top half with moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors with wooden astragals enclosing shelves, the base with sloped front to fitted interior and with four long graduated drawers beneath with brass drop handles and all raised on bracket feet. An oak and mahogany longcase clock, eight day movement, the case with swans neck pediment and with brass ball and eagle finial, the arched door with turned columns, the case with mahogany and oak crossbanding and with quarter reeded columns with painted enamel dial decorated with a young girl with caged bird, reputed to have been made by Anthony Simpson of Cockermouth. A Georgian oak longcase clock Joseph Paxton Higham Ferrers (Northamptonshire), the hood with swans neck pediment fitted with brass finials and with inlaid Prince of Wales plumes, turned columns the case with plain quarter columns and with inlaid door and inlaid shell decoration to the base, the silvered dial marked Joseph Paxton Higham Ferrers with Roman numerals and with pagoda decoration to the centre. Overall height excluding finials 122 cm, depth 23.5 cm, width 50 cm, with weights and pendulum.
