Mitchells Land Agency Department held an open meeting on Wednesday 29th January for farmers and land owners. The purpose of the meeting was an update on the proposed changes to farm support sytems following Brexit. Andrew Wright and Sandy Brown explained what the current Government thinking is and what the timescale is for those changes. Andrew Suddes consultant with Promar International also explained how the new relationship between Mitchells and Promar can offer farmers and land owners a free business consultation to prepare for Brexit. Andrew Wright commented "This is the first in a series of meetings, to offer our clients the best possible service to prepare for the changes ahead. The new proposed Government Agricultural Bill does not offer much for livestock farming and we must work together to safeguard food production in our area".
