Market Report Friday 6th & Saturday 7th September The first day of the Herdwick Sheep fair saw a catalogued entry of 8617, and all vendors left the mart on a high with a super buzz around the ring all day. On Wednesday 4th October 2023 at Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock comprising of 90 cast cows and cast bulls and 53 Lake District Clean Cattle and prime bulls. 1515 sheep included 1115 prime lambs and 400 cast ewes and rams.   Lake District Prime cattle proves to be a huge success, with new buyers following the product. SUDC UK CHARITY LAMB Friday 15th September 2023 Mitchells Auction Company held its 150th Annual Show & Sale of Mule Gimmer Lambs. P&PI Walker & Son, Beechcroft kindly donated one of their Mule Ewe lambs with the proceeds of the lamb going to a charity which is close to so many SUDC UK (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood). Friday 15th September 2023 The yearly sale of 7403 Lakeland north of England mule gimmer lambs was conducted to a huge ringside of travelled buyers which have supported this sale for many years with a splash of new buyers whom are hearing how good our lambs are.
