Market Report for Wednesday 31st May 2023   On Wednesday 31st May 2023, Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock comprising of 40 cast cows and 10 prime cattle, 1152 prime sheep consisting of 275 spring lambs, 474 prime hoggs and 403 cast ewes and rams.   Prime Cattle topped at 298p for a Charolais Bull from P&PI Walker, Beechcroft, Mockerkin. On Wednesday 24th May 2023 Mitchells Livestock Centre Cockermouth. Held their weekly sale of primestock. Comprising of 49 Cast Cows and Bulls, 1146 prime sheep, including 151 Spring Lambs, 582 Prime hoggs and 413 cast ewes and rams.   Prime cattle met a strong demand from the usual ring of buyers. Mitchells Livestock Auctioneers held the Jonny Skelton may show and sale of 923 store cattle. The pre-sale show was kindly sponsored by Armstrong Watson and Gates Tyres and very professionally judged by Mr Geoff Bowe , Bothel Parks .
