Mitchells Livestock Auctioneers held the Jonny Skelton may show and sale of 923 store cattle.
The pre-sale show was kindly sponsored by Armstrong Watson and Gates Tyres and very professionally judged by Mr Geoff Bowe , Bothel Parks . Championship honours were awarded to a Limousin heifer consigned by M/s I Powley, Green Marsh. She later went on and sold for £1400 purchased by JJ Crichton, Loughrigg . Reserve honours were awarded to a Limousin bullock from M/s Richardson, Low Garth later selling for £1460, purchased by David Barker.
With the typical standard of outstanding stock on show and a much-travelled ringside of buyers from all sides of the country. Prices were truly on fire with feeding types very dear, off the strength of prime stock prices, grazing sorts and butchers type of cattle were up keeping with what we have previously witnessed.
