On Wednesday, Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth, held their weekly sale of primestock with 32 Cattle comprising of 1 Prime Cattle and 31 cast cows: 888 sheep including 655 prime lambs and 233 cast ewes and rams.   A Tremendous Blonde cow from PT & SM Hewitson, Byresteads topped the sale at £2000.43 this cow also achieved the top pence per kilo at 279ppk in the cast cow section.    Today we had a larger show of dairy cows forward – selling to a good demand selling to a top of £1517.40...

Market Report for Friday 30th August 2024   An exceptional show of breeding rams was forward to a packed ring side of buyers, both travelled and local. The resulting sale prices were above expectations with many sellers being very satisfied.
