On Friday 27th December 2019 Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of prime sheep with 1057 forward including 930 lambs and 127 cast ewes and rams.   Vendors forward were rewarded with a tremendous festive trade with all classes well bid for. Lambs topped at £124.50 for Texel Lambs from A&J Clark, Cherrytree House. Top pence per kilo was 257.7p for Beltex Lambs from I Powley, Green Marsh. A wonderful Christmas show and sale of Prime Butchers Cattle and lambs at the Lakeland Livestock Centre.
