On Wednesday 20th November 2019 Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock with 48 cattle comprising 39 cull cattle and 9 prime bulls and prime cattle, 2013 prime sheep including 1539 lambs and 474 cast ewes and rams.   Prime Bulls sold to recent rates topping at £1516 for a Limousin Bull from G&AE Marrs, Cathow. The trade was topped at £985 for a Limousin Bull from D&J Richardson, Whitehead Brow. Steers to £925 for a Limousin from T Dixon, Wyndham Terrace. Store cattle A seasonal show of store cattle sold to the same trade as recent weeks ensuring all vendors went home satisfied with their days trading.  Leading the sale was a smart Limousin heifer from AG Watson, Lanehead selling for £1175.  Steers topped at £1035 from AR Hardy, Eastlands.
