Breeding Rams

The show was kindly sponsored by Robinson & Co Accountants and Macmin Ltd. Judging the ram section was Miss Eilidh Hortin, Murtles and Mr Will Rogerson, Maison Gill, they both conducted an expert job and commented on the great quality of rams forward. The championship rosette was presented to WW&D Boow, Corney Hall with a Beltex x Texel Shearling later selling for £1500. Reserve honours went to A McCutcheon, Bodoney with a Beltex Shearling selling for £1600.

The evening sale once again created a great atmosphere with strong rams very well bid for.

Breeding Sheep

The pre-sale show was kindly sponsored by Robinson & Co Accountants and Macmin Ltd with the judging in capable hands of Miss Emma Jackson, Gosforth and Mr Andrew Etches, Buxton. The championship rosette was awarded to the first prize mule 2 shear ewes from JM Mawson, Holebeck.

Receiving the Bill Skelton Memorial trophy was the first prize pen of mule shearlings from J&D Mattinson, Cragg Farm.

The sale got under way with the regular aged ewe section, which set the tone for the rest of the day.

Trade was fast and furious throughout with a huge ring side of buyers which had travelled from all four corners of the country.
