Mitchells Auction Co held their fortnightly sale of store cattle on Friday 27th March 2023 with a catalogued entry of 378.
A full ringside of buyers created a trade pleasing to all sellers. All steers sold averaged £1325 and heifers averaged £1105.
The top price of the day was £1725 Paid for Angus Steers shown by Messrs B W Noble, Gibbtarn Farm.
Heifers sold to £ 1495 paid to TW West, Pickett Howe, Egremont for a Limousin.
One consignment which deserves a huge mention for the quantity and quality on show were 90 continental steers which averaged a wonderful £1652 from Messrs Walton , Park Farm , Barnard Castle.
