On Wednesday 24th January 2024, Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock with 90 Cattle comprising of 8 Prime Cattle and 82 cast cows: 2016 sheep including 1512 prime lambs and 504 cast ewes and rams.
A wonderful show of 82 cast cows were presented to our usual keen side of buyers. Flesh on offer was outstanding with prices to match. Full sale average of £1115 was achieved.
Leading the sale today was a fabulous Limousin cow weighing 902kg making 246ppk or £2218.00 from I&R Millard, Old Hyton purchased by Mr George Champman.
