On Wednesday 7th February 2024, Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock with Cattle comprising of 55 Prime Cattle and cast cows; 1368 sheep including 1050 prime lambs and 318 cast ewes and rams.

Cast ewes and rams were sold to a ring of 9 buyers. This only led to a blistering trade for all types. The larger part of the sale was hill ewes with our overall average being £86.21.
Brian Harrison, Beck Farm was most pleased with his ewes topping at 245 for a Texel Eewe.
