Market Report for Wednesday 14th February 2024
On Wednesday 14th February 2024, Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock with 88 Cattle including 18 Prime Cattle and 70 cast cows and 1630 sheep including 1293 prime hoggs and 337 cast ewes and rams.
Clean cattle and young bulls sold to premium rates. Top price of £1899 for a Limousin Steer came from H Thompson, Springfield, Egremont purchased by Mr George Chapman. Leading price for Young Bulls of £2013 was achieved by regular supporter Tom Byers, Ellenbank, Boltongate.
