The monthly Lake District Prime Cattle Sale sold to a top price of 335p for an Aberdeen Angus sired heifer shown by James Crichton, Loughrigg, Egremont, purchased by W Lindsay & Sons, Butchers, Cockermouth. Steers sold to 331p from Newbiggin Farms, Kirklinton, Carlisle. Top gross was £2251.26 for a Limousin heifer from Messrs Beaty, Langhorn, Egremont.
