STORE CATTLE
Another successful smaller fortnightly sale of store cattle was sold to vendors advantage, with all cattle selling at high demand.
Top price of the day was a Charolais Heifer from J Stubbs & Ptnrs, Syke Beck this tremendous heifer went under the hammer at £1430 to Ms Skelton.
Stirks sold to a strong trade of £740 for a 7-month-old British Blue Bull from Tallentire Hill Farm.

Our fortnightly sale of Breeding sheep commenced with a tremendous entry of 433 ewes with lambs at foot. Topping the sales was an outstanding texel ewe with lamb at foot from DJ Porter, Easthwaite which went under the hammer at £140 per life.
Today we witnessed the first sighting of Herdwick ewes with young Beltex lambs at foot, which sold to a top of £42 per life.
