On Wednesday 17th July 2024, Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth, held their weekly sale of primestock with 37 Cattle comprising of 13 Prime Cattle and 24 cast cows and bulls: 764 sheep including- 557 prime lambs and 237 cast ewes and rams.
Well fleshed cull cows and prime bulls upheld the good rates of recent sales.
Topping the prime bull section per head was a British Friesian from WE&DE Litt, Greengill weighing 558kg selling for 247ppk totalling at £1378.26.
Taking the top price per kilo was a British Friesian from J Pattinson & Son, Uldale Hall weighing 496kg selling for 250ppk totalling at £1240.00
