Today here at Mitchells Auction Company we held our fortnightly sale of Store Lambs and Store Cattle.
STORE LAMBS
A nice entry of store lambs was forward which included long and short term keep sorts. Many more lambs could have been sold to vendor’s advantage, with a large ring of local buyers present.
Topping the store lamb section was £138.00 paid for Beltex cross lambs from AJ Wood, Woodhall Brow Farm.

STORE CATTLE
A Smaller show of cattle was forward to a ring of buyers with prices maintaining recent high rates. Selling at a top of £1740.00 for an outstanding Limousin cross steer from Ms Crowe, Cubbin Farm.
More cattle of all classes are required to fulfill buyer’s demand here at Cockermouth.
