Store Lambs
A nice quality entry of 500 store lambs met a steady trade being slightly cheaper on the previous sale although in line with the market trends. The sale was topped £130 for Texel lambs shown by B Adams, Lingla Bank, Frizington. The same home sold Texel ewes to a top of £180 per head.

Store Cattle
All classes of cattle were sought after, the resulting trade was satisfactory maintaining the recent high rates. The sale top price was £1490 paid twice firstly for a pair of Luing bullocks presented by WE & DE Litt, Greengill Farm, Gilcrux, and also £1490 for Charolais bullocks from MI & M Palmer, East Townend, Winscales. Heifers topped at £1480 for Charolais from Messrs Cockbain & Sons, Rakefoot, Keswick.
