The Fellmans Gather sale of 6800 store lambs was met by a full ringside of both local and travelled buyers ensuring a fast trade was seen for all types. An average of £71.91 was achieved, which was £20 up on the year for over half the sale being hill bred lambs. The sales peaked at £129 for Beltex from RM Wilson Dockray Nook with the best types selling £115-£120. Texel sold to £126 from JW Scott Crooklands. Mules sold to £102 from ID Clemetson Lucy close with all mules averaging £82.50. Herwick lambs sold to a top of £78 from EG Liddle Miller place with best end selling £60+ 2245 herdwick lambs forward averaged £51. Swal sold to £77 from J & K Meadley High Bewaldeth and scot to £72 from G & A Crayston & Son Thornholme. Next sale of store lambs is on Friday 8th November.
