Beef cows sold to a top of £1698 for a Limousin cow from Messrs Taylor & Gill, Fell End with others to £1633 from J&HD Langcake, Sandhills. Pure Limousin cows sold to £2.52ppkg & £2.48ppkg from J Brown & Sons, Crakeplace Hall. Well meated beef cows sell £1.90ppkg - £2.20ppkg. Dairy cows sold to £1333 or £2.18ppkg from D & MA Wilson, Lamplugh Hall with well meated dairy cows £1.85ppkg - £2ppkg.

Topping the ewe section today was a tremendous Texel ewe from WW & D Boow, Corney Hall, Millom selling for £220.00, purchased by Mr Colin Simpson for Pak-Mecca Meats, with many more selling above the £200.00 mark. Cull Rams topped at £180.00 for a Leicester from JR Weir, Elva Plain.

Beltex lambs sold to £4.18ppkg from Crozier & Langcake, High Moss with other pens selling to £4.05ppkg from M Stockdale, Crosshow Farm. Best bred lambs selling £3.60ppkg - £3.80ppkg.
