On Wednesday 1st May 2019 Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held the weekly sale of primestock with 58 cattle comprising 45 cull cattle and 13 prime bulls and clean cattle, 1397 prime sheep including 30 spring lambs, 956 hoggs and 411 cast ewes and rams. Top price per kilo was a Limousin bull from WE Callion & Sons, Lodge Farm selling at 200.5 pence per kilo (ppk) to TL Fell. A good entry of 220 Store Cattle sold to fantastic rates being even dearer on the fortnight.
