Friday 15th May 2020   A reduced entry of 500 Outfits of Hoggs and Ewes with Lambs at Foot was forward under drop and go conditions for what would have been the David Westgarth Memorial Trophy. The trade achieved far exceeded all expectations being electric for all classes. Top price of the day was £140 per life for a Pure Texel Ewe with Beltex Gimmer Lamb at foot from Woodhow Farm, Wasdale and was purchased by Andrew Kirkbride. On Wednesday 13th May 2020 Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock with 63 cattle comprising 44 cull cattle and 19 prime bulls and clean cattle, 1112 prime sheep including 204 spring lambs, 567 prime hoggs and 341 cast ewes and rams.
