A relatively new specialist area for Mitchells, which has proven very popular very quickly. We hold two specialist coins sales per year within our quarterly Antiques & Fine Art Sales, with nearly all lots finding a new home. Within each sale you’ll find silver hammered coins from the reign of Henry II to Charles II and milled coins from the reign of Charles II to present day. There’s always a selection of gold sovereigns and modern day Piedfort and silver proofs coins. It’s not uncommon to find historical and commemorative medals, trade tokens, bank notes and world coins from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
