Mitchells silver and jewellery department hold four sales throughout the year within our Antiques & Fine Art sales. The silver section regularly includes items of a traditional nature such as flatware, tea services, candle sticks and tankards through to modern contemporary items by designers such as Rachel Stone, Stuart Devlin and Georg Jensen. Now that our sales are online we’ve seen more interest and demand for Continental and American silver and in particular named Chinese silver, which always arouses worldwide interest.
Our jewellery sales are always a must attend event, with a wide selection of traditional and modern contemporary items to choose from. If you’re looking for something special or something to simply enhance an outfit, you’ll always find a range of traditional to Art Deco diamond solitaires and dress rings, Georgian and Victorian brooches, necklaces and bracelets. For those with a contemporary or retro taste you’ll find everything from 1960’s costume jewellery to Scandinavian designer items.
There has been a real surge of interest in wristwatches of late, particularly those with a mechanical movement. Watches by leading brands such as Rolex, Omega and Cartier are always in high demand and featured regularly within our sales.
