Possibly painted by George Gower (1540-1596) or Robert Peake (1551-1619). PROVENANCE - This painting was found in the attic of Harts House, Gloucester Road, Almondsbury, Near Bristol, in 1949 by Cyril Quantick when he purchased the seven bedroom manor house which dates from the 16th century. The painting has remained in the same family since that date.
