A Newcastle silver tankard, George III, makers mark to handle "I.L" over "I.R." for Langlands & Robertson. The tankard with whistle handle. The tankard has an inset wooden base, it has not been removed. The rear stamps for the hallmark are visible on the interior of the piece. We would expect the tankard to be Newcastle circa 1781/2. 500 grams gross. Height 14 cm (see illustration).
