Canvas 75 cm x 62 cm, in gilt and grained wood frame, with labels verso variously, one stating "Lent by Sir Algar Howard, KCB", a label for an Exhibition at the Abbott Hall Art Gallery, Kendal, and a photocopied catalogue entry apparently for the sale of this painting at Sotheby's in 1984, Lot No. 45 (see illustration).
