East India Company Interest - An Anglo-Indian inlaid rosewood worktable, the inlaid top with centre roundel inscribed for "Lt. Gen. H. Gough 1842", with fitted interior with hinged interior lid and with apertures for sewing accessories and to include two turned candle prickets and lidded compartments, the centre section of which lifts out to reveal the top of the stem support, with bone medallion engraved "4EIC", on a bird cage type spindled gallery support, with well turned and carved column on a similar triform base.
