A 19th century mahogany secretaire chest of drawers, with a well figured rectangular top above the secretaire drawer, the fitted interior of pigeonholes and drawers veneered in rosewood with boxwood crossbanding, the drawers with turned ivory handles, all above three graduated and cockbeaded oak lined drawers with turned bun handles, on splayed bracket feet. Width 120 cm, height 117 cm, depth 57 cm.

A Bridgecraft mahogany cocktail cabinet, with carved scroll pediment above well figured doors with decorative brass fitments opening to reveal an illuminated interior with pullout slide above cupboard doors, on cabriole legs with carved knees and a scroll and shell apron. Lot 2006

A Regency mahogany Campaign dining table, comprising two ends with rounded corners and two leaves supported on eight turned legs terminating in brass capped castors. Width 137 cm, length including centre leaves 292 cm (see illustration).

Lot 2007

WITHDRAWN - Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940), a rare pair of jardiniere stands, circa 1900, the square tops bordered with ebony and brass stringing above vellum panels set with inlaid bone, pewter and ebony roundels each with beaten copper centre and framed by inlaid star motifs, the legs wrapped in copper supported by a lower inlaid tier on square ebonised feet. Top width 25 cm, height 102 cm (see illustration).

A 19th century mahogany Pembroke table, with well figured top with drop leaves and single oak lined drawer opposing a dummy drawer each with turned knob handles, all raised on turned tapering legs. Width 111 cm (leaves open), height 71 cm, depth 111 cm.

Lot 2010

A good Victorian walnut veneered credenza, with well figured top above burrwood panels set to the centre with porcelain plaques depicting female busts, the central drawer with book matched veneer around a French porcelain panel within gilt metal mount and with tight burr and boxwood crossbanding and stringing, with glazed cabinets to either side with upholstered shelves, all flanked by inverted tapering burrwood columns with gilt metal Corinthian capitals and further boxwood and ebony stringing, all supported on turned ebonised feet. A George II oak cupboard on chest, having a moulded pediment with inlaid initials and star motif "ND 1754", the panelled doors opening to reveal hanging space above a series of five drawers with brass drop handles and shaped escutcheons, all resting upon bracket feet. 148 cm wide, 199.5 cm high, 52 cm deep (see illustration).

A 19th century mahogany serpentine fronted sideboard, the crossbanded top with ebony and boxwood stringing above oak lined drawers and cupboard door inlaid with bats wings and stringing with cast oval handles with embossed classical urn backplate, all supported upon lozenge shaped tapering legs terminating in spade feet. 160.5 cm wide, 87 cm high, 56 cm deep.

Lot 2021

A George III mahogany longcase clock circa 1800 by Joseph Craig of Maryport, the swans neck pediment above a pierced fretwork panel around an eagle and ball finial and with dentil cornice above a fluted frieze, with arched cushioned moulded door flanked by Corinthian columns with brass capitals, the trunk with similar dentil work and fluted band above a Gothic shaped door inlaid with boxwood and ebony stringing flanked by canted angles and with further inlaid decoration above a moulded base raised on ogee bracket feet, with eight day striking movement and 13" painted dial with subsidiary dates and seconds dials and with painted moon phase with calibrated scale. Height including finial 95.5" (239 cm). NOTE - Joseph Craig Clockmaker of Lancaster married Mary Watson of Lancaster. He was born in Cumberland circa 1760. He appears to have been working in Maryport towards the end of the 18th century and the early part of the 19th century. He died in 1845 (see illustration).
