An Austro-Hungarian Empire Boar tusk "Hunting" brooch, large form, the polished tusk being approximately 170 mm long with ornate filigree silver mounts to the long pin, attached silver chain and original hallmarked talisman with the town mark "N" identifying the brooch as having a very rare assay mark for Zadar, Croatia 1866/7 the only year this assay office was used whilst Croatia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
