A Sting Precision Bass by Fender. This is a Sting Signature Precision Bass, manufactured by Fender. This 50's style guitar features a vintage style single coil pick up, contoured body with two colour sunburst finish and Stings facsimile signature in the block pearl inlay at the 12th fret and his actual signature to the pickguard. NOTE - this guitar is being sold on behalf Cumbria Community Foundation for the Flood Relief Fund. It was donated by Sting himself to be sold for this worthy charity (see illustration).

Mrs W. Heelis (Beatrix Potter), an important letter to "The Herdwick Sheep Enquiry Keswick May 20th 43" from Castle Cottage Sawrey near Ambleside. The letter is in response to an enquiry from the Ministry of Agriculture and discusses sustainable farming and the cost of rearing Herdwick Sheep. It mentions tourism in the Lake District and the complexities of Income Tax returns. Mrs Heelis talks about farm accounts and discusses old sayings "The Wool Pays the Rent" and "The Wedder Hogg Pays for the Gimmer Hogg", etc. The letters runs to four sides and is very detailed (see illustration).

A letter from Isaac Littledale to his son Joseph in London from Whitehaven Cumberland 1791. The letter discusses subsidence and subsequent damage caused by mine workings beneath properties in and around Scotch Street, George Street, Church Street and Duke Street in Whitehaven. In 1791 the workings had reached this neighbourhood where on 31st January a holing was made in an old waste liberating a large quantity of water drowning three individuals and five horses in the workings (see illustration).
