Lot 1018

A Dent of London gravity clock, circa 1970, the timepiece with circular dial with Roman numerals to the chapter ring inscribed to the centre "Dent, London" and housed in a cylinder and inscribed to the reverse "Dent". The clock is wound by pushing up a slope and operates with the act of gravity rolling slowly back down the slope through the days of the week. Cylinder diameter 5 ins, length of slope 28.5 ins (see illustration).
