A French gilt metal mantle clock, late 19th century, surmounted with a floral vase with an egret with a toad in its beak opposite a young merman, the foliate scroll cast dial with enamel numerals having an eight day movement chiming on a bell, with a further merman figure holding a shell on a Rococo scrolling base in turn above a carved and gilt wood plinth, overall height 44 cm.
