Our August Show and Sale of Store Lambs was expertly judged by Stuart and Connor Miller, Allerby Hall. Champion was awarded to a fine pen of Beltex Lambs consigned by Messrs Allen & Dickinson, Windrush, which later realised £124.   With an abundance of grass in the surrounding countryside and strong Prime Lamb return, we had a packed ringside of buyers ensuring an outstanding trade was achieved for all types. The special 150th Anniversary Show and Sale attracted a wonderful catalogued entry of 851 with something to suit every requirement.   The day kicked off with a pleasing show of cattle kindly sponsored by R.A.F. Engineering Ltd, Rickerby Ltd, Dodd & Co and professionally judged by Mr Ricky Alder. Today we held our opening show and sale of 1014 store lambs. With our Judge Matthew Clark, Harrot Hill having 14 lovely pens of lambs to judge.  The sale was kindly sponsored by Dugdale Nutrition.   Champion pen of lambs were the Blue texels shown and bred by JB Stephenson, Punderland which later sold for £110 and purchased by the judge.
