On Wednesday 7th June 2023, Mitchells Livestock Centre, Cockermouth held their weekly sale of primestock comprising of 55 cast cows and 1 prime bull,  prime sheep including 222 prime hoggs, 240  cast ewes and rams and 285 Spring Lambs.   Cast Cows sold to another barn scorching trade. On Wednesday 24th May 2023 Mitchells Livestock Centre Cockermouth. Held their weekly sale of primestock. Comprising of 49 Cast Cows and Bulls, 1146 prime sheep, including 151 Spring Lambs, 582 Prime hoggs and 413 cast ewes and rams.   Prime cattle met a strong demand from the usual ring of buyers.
